Avidin has discovered, in collaboration with others, a cytoprotective compound with a novel chemical structure scaffold. After chemical optimization and SAR analysis Q-50 was selected as the lead-compound. After GMP-synthesis Avidin has started preclinical development of this compound for cardiovascular and neuroprotective indications.

Avidin, with a partner, identified a natural compound derivative with cytoprotective activity. After chemical optimization, SAR and formulation studies Avidin is going to start preclinical development of ID9486 in Q4 2009.
